About UnoGIF
What UnoGIF Is
UnoGIF is a collection of practical, no-nonsense GIF utilities. The toolkit covers makers that turn still images or video clips into animations, editors that crop, resize, rotate, reverse and retime them, converters that move files between GIF, PNG, JPG, WEBP and APNG, optimizers that bring an oversized animation down to a size you can actually post, and viewers that let you step through it frame by frame. Every tool is built to do one job well and stay out of your way.
There are no accounts to create, no files to upload, and no hidden limits on the things that matter. Whether you need a reaction clip trimmed and looped, a transparent animation for a slide deck, a GIF small enough to clear Discord’s upload cap, or every frame exported as separate PNGs, the tool you need is one click away in the UnoGIF tools library.
How Our Tools Are Built and Tested
Every UnoGIF tool is built in plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript, with no accounts, no installs and no artificial caps. Animated files are decoded frame by frame inside the browser itself and re-encoded locally, so there is no server doing the work in the background.
Animation is where most tools quietly break: frame timing drifts and the result plays too fast, transparency gets flattened onto a white box, or the loop stops after a single pass. Those are the failure modes each tool is checked against before it ships, along with the awkward cases — partial-frame transparency, frame disposal methods, files recorded at unusual frame rates. Tools that users report as broken are fixed or rebuilt rather than left to decay.
Everything Runs in Your Browser
The one rule every tool on UnoGIF follows is simple: your files never leave your device. When you reverse an animation or pull its frames apart, the work happens locally in your browser using JavaScript and the Canvas API. Nothing is uploaded, stored, or seen by us.
This is not a privacy promise you have to take on faith — it is an architecture you can verify yourself. Open your browser’s developer tools, switch to the Network tab and use any tool: you will see no outgoing request carrying your data. Your files stay on your machine because there is nowhere else for them to go.
GIFs tend to be exactly the files people would rather not hand over: internal screen recordings, unreleased product demos, client animations, half-finished meme drafts that are not ready for daylight. Client-side processing removes that risk entirely instead of trying to manage it.
Free Means Free
No sign-ups, no trials, no watermarks, and no “pro” tier holding back the useful features. You do not need an account to export an animation, and there is no cap waiting a few conversions down the line.
Because your files never reach our servers, they cannot be monetized, analyzed, or leaked. Free here means free, not “free until you need the thing you came for.”
